Arnotts kicked off the new season in style this week with the unveiling of an array of fashion treats including a brand new collection from Peter O’Brien and Lennon Courtney. Peter said on the night “When you think of the fashion greats from years ago, they have a very classic feel and a slightly mannish tailored elegance. You look at them now and they still look good. That is what inspires my collections. I want women to have the piece from years to come.”
Lennon Courtney has taken a more ‘weekend’ angle with a collection that is slightly more casual incorporating lots of mix and match pieces. One of my favourites is a high waisted leather circle skirt spotted on Clodagh McKenna. Orla Kiely is new to Arnotts this season across women, accessories and homewear. Other new additions included Jill Stuart from New York, GOAT (a label Victoria Beckham has been spotted wearing when not wearing her own!) and 2ND DAY, an affordable diffusion brand from the much-loved Day Birger et Mikkelsen. You can also check out a new collection of quirky Lulu Guinness handbags.
Judging by the fashion chat following the event, orla Kiely seems to be the one most people are buzzing about (not me, Peter gets my vote) so even if Orla Kiely’s shearling coat (which comes in at €2680!) is slightly outside your budget, there seems to be something for everyone. I have my eye on these beautiful navy daisy velvet shorts for €210. You can look back on the live streaming of the show here..
