Isabel MarantUnless you were buried under a rock for the past 3 months it CANNOT have escaped your attention that one lady, namely Isabel Marant was coming to town yesterday through her new collection especially for H&M. Unless you were fashion royalty (which I am sadly not) you were not getting an invite to Image magazines preview on South King Street on Tuesday night and yesterday the rails were raided with items up on Ebay already reaching way above the retail price. Ah the power of fashion.

I have of course seen pictures of the collection and my god the sequins pants are pretty cool! However, they come in at €199 so a little pricey for a fling with sequins for the party season me thinks. It’s a long shot but here is my top tip – While most of the women’s and men’s collection has pretty much sold out online, there’s still plenty of children’s stock left. Et voilà! You could have yourself a Marant for half the price and a fraction of stress. The younger collection is almost identical to its adult counterpart, so certainly not worth turning your noise up to. If you’re lucky enough to be petite or have small feet, or even just fancy a slightly snugger fit, then take it up a few sizes. Oh and check out a great piece in the Daily Mail around the mayhem outside H&M on Kensington High Street in London from 4am yesterday when STILL lots of people missed out on getting the piece they wanted. God.

It seems fashion collaborations are hotting up more and more and H&M seems to be top of the pile with name such as Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf, Matthew Williamson, Roberto Cavalli, Versace, Sonia Rykiel, Lanvin, Jimmy Choo and Marni under their fashion belt!

Check out this little video to give you a better feel for the designer herself as she talks about the collection.
