Stylefish was set up by Julie Cobbe in 2009 as a fashion school for women offering personal styling classes through department stores & shopping centres throughout Ireland including House of Fraser, Debenhams & Harvey Nichols. Since then Julie has taught over 3,500 women and now runs a Diploma in Personal Styling in Dublin for women who like her just love fashion! It is also intended to help women rediscover their style and for those interested in starting out as a Personal Stylist to get first hand insights into running a personal styling business.
In 2011 Julie was successful in securing investment and backing from two dragons on RTE’s Dragon’s Den aswell as winning a National Enterprise Award in the same year. Julie has featured in the 2014 and 2015 Irish Tatler Business Magazine’s ‘Women of Influence’ Directory as a Fashion Entrepreneur to watch. Stylefish also runs fashion classes & events for companies and brands aswell as working in the retail sector training staff in the art of personal styling and working with retailers to help them build a personal styling customer base and manage and monitor this as a commercial activity.
Julie served on the board of The Federation of Image Professional’s International in the UK as Communications Director from September 2015 – September 2016. FIPI is a non-profit professional organisation for style professionals in the UK and internationally that sets the benchmark for excellence by providing leadership, learning opportunities, a strong female community and other links for it’s members.
