Sharing a tartan moment..

Tartan is going to have a moment…big style over the season ahead. It’s one of those scary trends we are not quite sure what to make of. Fearful of looking like a highland mountain climber gone wrong, the risks seem high. That is until last weekend while on another jaunt into my much loved charity stores in the UK, I found this little tartan jumpsuit! Of course it is easier to experiment when said item only cost £2.99. The stakes are not so high you see. I still had change for a coffee! I teamed with a simple white tee and my preppy vintage glasses, which I picked up on holiers in Shanghai last year and a Penney’s necklace. In fact the necklace at around €5 just about cost more than the jumpsuit!

Here is a pretty cool tartan shirt I spotted yesterday in Zara. Now, this would be my second choice for purchasing. Bit grungy. Great with black skinny jeans and studded of the moment ankle boots.

I have spotted tartan bags in Accessorize, skirts in Karen Millen, shirts in Forever 21 and Zara, a mini skirt in Mango and a shift dress and coats in Marks and Spencers so no excuses! Just be choosy and wait until you see the item that appeals to your personality, whether that is a more grungy piece or a girly dress. Moral of my story? I am well pleased with yet another bargain charity shop find!
