Julie Cobbe - The Girl with the Dream
Feeling very uninspired at the thought of working in law, a girl with a dream to own her own business set out to do just that. She packed her bags and moved to London to work as a Wedding Coordinator and it was here she discovered her passion for creating, teaching, styling & generally not being afraid to take a chance in life & follow your dreams. Having travelled the world living & working for periods in Sydney, New York & spending two months Inter-railing around Europe, this girl came home (let’s call her Julie).
Style Fish was set up in 2009 by one girl with a dream to make a difference to how women feel about their wardrobes, their shopping habits & their style. She wanted to do this through her love of teaching. But for Julie Style Fish is bigger than her. It is not even about her. Julie will never be able to spread all the love Style Fish has to give and so is building a brand that gives women access to a Style Fish teacher, wherever they are in the country. Style Fish recently featured and secured investment from Norah Casey (Harmonia Publishing) and Gavin Duffy (Mediatraining.ie) on RTE’s Dragons Den (having had to turn down Sean Gallagher). Style Fish is growing proof that with a real belief in & love of what you do, others see it too.
Style Fish cherishes our relationship with our women. Each and every lady Style Fish teaches becomes part of The Style Fish family. It is our ladies that are at the heart of everything we do & everything we strive to do. The notion of ‘special’ is at the heart of all that we teach, write and share through our classes, consultations & on our website.
The Style Fish Mission….
There was a time when things had sensible names. A coffee was a coffee and not a ‘frappachino’ and if you asked for a pair of of ‘Jeggings’ you were likely to be greeted with a ‘crazy person’ stare! Not anymore. Our wardrobes & make-up bags if we let them could become the result of too much ‘fashion’ & not enough ‘fabulous’. We want everything you buy to be something you love & we want to cut out the times you have spent throwing the entire contents of your wardrobe onto your bed in the eternal search for the outfit you feel great in.
Style Fish builds women’s confidence in doing it for themselves by providing the love of our teachers to teach you combined with the convenience of online to inspire you! We want every woman in Ireland to have access to Style Fish in her area.
