It is that time of year. We are all looking forward to a break away but with it comes swim suit dread! Let everyone else worry about swimsuit body perfection and use my clever tips to make sure you find the right swim suit for your body shape! All the pics I am using are from Marks and Spencers.
If you are conscious of your hips keep the bottom half simple by going for a block colour. The less going on there, well the less going on there! You can then bring the focus up with a brighter colour top, fun detailing and also using fun sun hats and sunglasses. Also, go for a fairly high-cut bottom to create the illusion of longer, leaner legs.
If you want to boost a small bust, consider underwire in your bikini. It will give a better shape. Do go for extras like ruffles, beading and pleating. They add bulk and visual interest. Don’t do bandeau as it will flatten even more.
If it is your tummy that worries you most go for an all in one swimsuit over a bikini. Look for supportive and firmer fabrics. Always feel the fabric before trying on. Don’t go for shiny fabrics. It highlights every lump and bump. Matte is much better. Do show some skin. A high-cut leg or low-cut top draws eyes away from your middle.
Finally, If you want to support a big bust, your swimsuit should fit as well as a good-fitting bra, and your best-fitting bra fits well because of the band and underwire. The snugger the fit, the more support your breasts have, and the higher they’ll stay. Also don’t be afraid of the bikini. In many cases that can give more support that a full swim suit because of the band all the way around the back.
