Now in it’s fourth year, ‘Create’ is a unique opportunity for Irish designers to be showcased alongside some of the worlds biggest brands. Officially Launched on August 27th, shoppers can pop in and check out some of the amazing talent our little country has to offer. It will feature 13 designers from the world of fashion, accessories, millinery, graphic design and print.
The thirteen designers include womenswear designer Sharon Wauchob, who shows her collections at Paris Fashion Week, knitwear designer Derek Lawlor, jeweller Maria Dorai Raj, sisters Dairine and Keira Kennedy, who founded KDK scarves in 2012 and are now expanding to a range of separates and dresses. One of my personal favourites is milliner Margaret O’Connor (who counts Lady Gaga as a client). Margaret’s commercial hats sell for between €50 -€450 while a couture piece will set you back up to €3,500.
You can keep up to date with all the dates you need to know for this showcase on the Brown Thomas events page.
