Guests donned their finests headpieces to attend the Angsana Mathatters Tea Party at The Brehon on Saturday April 6th. They were treated to Long island iced teas before feasting on sumptious afternoon tea with Prosecco and smoothies. The 2012 hairstylist of the year Pat O’Neill advised on the latest hairstyles and trends while stylist Julie Cobbe – founder of which featured on RTE’s Dragons Den in 2011 – held a style masterclass on how to shop smarter to suit your body shape.

Julie also chose the best-dressed lady winner, Stephaine Kelleher, who made her own hat. Stephanie’s flair for fashion earned her an overnight stay at the four star Maritime Hotel in Bantry and a hamper from The Brehon’s Angsana Spa. Fluer Daly of Bluebell Eco Candles highlighted the advantages of soy wax candles. They also sponsored all the gorgeous vintag china and added a little candle to the goody bags. Proceed of the second annual event went to the Irish Motor Neuron Disease Association and Christy Lehane, chairperson of the Kerry Friends of Motor Neuron, addressed the gathering on the day. Danny McClure, in his guise as the Mad Hatter was MC and paid tribute to the Angsana Spa Manager Therese Breen, Sabrina Horgan, Sharon Dineen and head chef Chad Byrne who organised the event.
