Littlewoods Ireland AW Fashion Show
There were lots of the seasons hottest trend stories covered in their short and snappy show giving us lots of time to uhh and ahh through the rails of goddies on display and it’s fair to say fur plays a big part in a collection that includes romance, 70’s suede galore, animal print and lots and lots of sequins!
Two pieces really stood out for me. One was this amazing mongolian trim suede coat (€243). Definitely on the higher price bracket compared with all the other goddies we saw but this was amazing.
Teamed with over the knee suede boots and 70’s print dress.
Secondly this black jumpsuit (€71) from Littlewoods looks like it staright off the Celine catwalk. Simple, elegant and uber cool. The styling was simple and effective. Inspired by monochrome blocking of the AW15 catwalk shows this trend is focused on the simplicity of black and white. Expect in fact to see lots of black in the shops this season and Littlewoods focused on combining black with detailing such as metal zips and strong bold print.
The seventies was the other trend that Littlewoods focused on last night. Make way for lots of orange, rust and definitely a darker more transitional colour palette. Floral plays a big part in this trend as does fringing, suede and wide legs!
If I was to advise on one great investment piece taking into account all the trends, I think it would have to be a tan/brown suede jacket. I have seen so many beautiful options and it is only the start of September!
Thanks Littlewoods for another great show. Looking forward to talking about the collection in classes and training over the coming months!
