I set up Stylefish in 2009 as a fashion school for women offering personal styling classes through department stores & shopping centres throughout Ireland including House of Fraser, Debenhams & Harvey Nichols. Since then I have taught over 3,500 women and have since used this experience to launch other services.
I have developed my own niche Diploma in Personal Styling which is aimed at women who, like me, love fashion, style and helping others to build their confidence in their style as much as I do! It is a short course run over 3 weekends and is niche in that it is built completely around my own experiences of starting and growing a personal styling business, giving small groups of women access all areas and post study support once they have completed my course.
My huge passion behind Stylefish is for helping women to believe in themselves, whether through styling, classes, training, mentoring or through my much loved Stylefish community of women. I believe every woman should have a style she loves and a confidence in herself and her dreams and I have built a business around this passion.
In 2011 I secured investment and backing from two dragons on RTE’s Dragon’s Den aswell as winning a National Enterprise Award in the same year. I have featured in the 2014 and 2015 Irish Tatler Business Magazine’s ‘Women of Influence’ Directory as a Fashion Entrepreneur to watch. I also run fashion classes & events for companies and brands aswell as working in the retail sector training staff in the art of personal styling and working with retailers to help them build a personal styling customer base and manage and monitor this as a commercial activity.
I served on the board of The Federation of Image Professional’s International in the UK as Communications Director from September 2015 – September 2016. FIPI is a non-profit professional organisation for style professionals in the UK and internationally that sets the benchmark for excellence by providing leadership, learning opportunities, a strong female community and other links for it’s members.
