I had a lovely time this weekend catching up with a friend in Kilkenny and of course a little browse through the shops was a must! The last time I was in Shutterbug (which is a vintage shop located on Patrick Street) Blanaid was in the planning stages for her shop but my boyfriend still managed to bag himself two very cool armchairs which Blanaid herself had covered in old American coffee bags. In fact I should do a post on them!

Blanaid’s philosophy is that one can never be overdressed! Suits me fine. With oodles of furs, jewels, vintage gloves, hats and shoes (including stocking Jeffery Cambell), I was in dress up heaven. If you are looking for a pair of cut off denim or a signature jacket this might just be a ticket for you with a rail of cut of Levi’s in every colour under the sun costing €34.99.

Blanaid is big into jewellery. The showier the better it seems! With some really fun, serious blingy options to choose from with prices starting at around €20. My favourite were the bracelets with the turquoise stone.

Leather is a go to look this season and there is plenty to choose from in Shutterbug with a rail of both black and white leather pieces (skirts and shorts).

As Anna Wintour says “Fur can be worn with anything at anytime.” Check out the fun pieces for sale below.

For those of you not so near to pop in you can check out their Facebook page as the team regularly update it with stuff from the shop, outfit ideas and other cool vintage stuff or even better their online store,

Thanks Blanaid. I was like a kid in a sweet shop!
